Yep, another one coming up… along with a couple thousand other new blogs popping up around the world at this hour. They pop up as quickly as they fall down.

When I first heard the word “blog” I thought to myself…”What a lousy term” it’s destined to be a failure right from the beginning. Like a kid given a bad name by the parents - just starting life but already at a disadvantage.

The next shocker came when I found that bloggers are people who actually write stuff on a daily (or not so daily) basis for the sake of writing – let’s be realistic not every blog gets 10,000 uniques per day. Those who are just starting out are probably writing for themselves, because nobody is visiting their blog. What a sad story.

Shocker number three, the grand daddy of all, came when I learned that there are actually people who visit these blog-things and read what others have to say. “Waa?! What a mind blow!” They must be these social outcasts, who sit at home all day, in a dark room, don’t shower and surf the web all the time. They have no friends, everyone in the neighborhood is scared of them, even their dog runs away when called. You know who you are J

As it turns out, if you read blogs, you will not be considered “strange” by the society (or your in-laws). It may be quite the opposite, you may be considered a “nice but rather odd character” if you don’t know what a blog is. And these blog-things, they actually have some very interesting and valuable information. I’m not saying that EVERY blog carries useful information (so far this blog does not contain a single piece of information that could be used for anything), but many do.
